ENGS 63 - Electric Energy
Description
Electric energy sources, systems, and applications are essential for reducing climate impacts of energy and for engineering high-performance systems and products. This course builds skills for designing and working with electric energy, including AC and DC electrical power and energy calculations; an overview of power systems; electric motor fundamentals and applications; electric power applications and opportunities for electrifications; electrical safety; and power distribution in buildings. Several laboratory exercises are included. Not open to students who have received credit for ENGS 85.12.Prerequisites
